HVT-SPA36 is a new type of PVC impact modifier (toughener). Obtained by nano microemulsion polymerization and nano self-assembly technology. HVT-SPA36 has good dispersibility and improves the bonding performance and compatibility between HVT-SPA36 and PVC. While HVT-SPA36 toughens PVC,the strength, rigidity, modulus, and Vicat softening point of PVC composite materials have little or no reduction. The strength and toughness of PVC composite materials reach a better balance, that is, SPA- 36 toughened PVC composite material not only has good impact toughness, but also has high strength.



Disadvantages of CPE as PVC impact modifier:

CPE (chlorinated polyethylene) is a universal impact modifier (toughener) for PVC (polyvinyl chloride) products. The glass transition temperature (Tg) of CPE elastomer is -10℃. When the ambient temperature is lower than -10℃, CPE will change from rubber elastomer to plastic, and the toughening effect of CPE on PVC is greatly reduced or loses the toughening effect. Secondly, CPE toughened PVC, the strength, rigidity, modulus, and vicat softening point of PVC materials are greatly reduced, that is, CPE toughened PVC is at the cost of substantial loss of material strength, rigidity, modulus, and micro-calorie softening point. At the same time, CPE has poor compatibility with PVC, high processing melt viscosity, narrow processing range, poor plasticizing effect, and low surface gloss of the product.

Dosage of HVT-SPA36 toughening agent:Comparable to CPE dosage

Usage of HVT-SPA36 toughening agent:


HVT-SPA36 toughening agent has the best requirements in the PVC mixing process section, and the rest of the processing technology is basically the same as that of CPE. The best process recommendation in the PVC mixing process section is: during the PVC mixing process,it is recommended to put in HVT-SPA36 immediately after the PVC resin powder is put in, and then put in other material components, because of this, HVT-SPA36 can be completely integrated into the PVC particle gap, the toughening effect is better.


Product toxicity, storage and packaging

HVT-SPA36 toughening agent is a non-toxic, odorless white powder;

Packed in bags, standard packaging: 25kg/bag.

HVT-SPA36 toughening agent should be stored in a dry and ventilated place to prevent moisture, the shelf life is 2 years.
