Features
3,4-Difluorobenzoic Acid CAS NO. 455-86-7 is a substituted benzoic acid compound. Substituted benzoic acids are a kind of organic synthesis intermediates that can be mainly developed, which can be used in the production of organic chemical raw materials and various pesticides, and are also synthetic intermediates of dyes, pesticides and medicines. It is the raw material of preservatives and fragrances, and can also be used for liquid crystal materials, which has the advantages of high value and good market prospects.
Preparation
In a dry 100mL round-bottomed flask, add Wittig reagent 3, 4-difluorophenyl methyl triphenylphosphine 416mg (1mmol), add THF 30ml, 1ml (9mmol) 30% hydrogen peroxide solution, 50°C nitrogen reaction under protection. After 1-2h, the reaction of the raw material wittig reagent was almost complete. After the reaction, most of the solvent was removed by rotary evaporation, 10 mL of dichloromethane and 10 mL of water were added, and the mixture was extracted by liquid separation. The organic phase was dried by adding anhydrous sodium sulfate and concentrated. The crude product was isolated as a pale yellow solid, 134 mg, 85% product.
